Nigerian chef and home cook, Grace Nwaokobia, is gearing up to shatter the Guinness World Record for the Longest Home Kitchen Cooking Marathon in March of this year. Her aim is to surpass the existing record of 68 hours, held by Rickey Lumpkins since 2018.
Chef Grace plans to undertake this culinary feat in a serviced home apartment in Lagos, and the event will be open to the public with limited restrictions, encouraging people to come and show their support. The marathon will feature a diverse array of home-cooked meals prepared in abundance.
Notably, the meals created during the marathon will not only serve as a testament to Chef Grace’s cooking prowess but will also be distributed in special takeaway packs. These packs will be shared with the homeless on the streets, as well as representatives from orphanage homes who will be in attendance.
In a display of generosity, selected home cooks present at the event will be rewarded with kitchen appliances to support and enhance their culinary businesses.
This cooking marathon is not just a display of skill but is imbued with a meaningful purpose. Chef Grace is driven by the desire to make a positive impact, and the event aligns with a commitment to give back to the community. As March approaches, Nigerians eagerly anticipate the moment when Chef Grace will not only break records but also set new trends in the culinary world.
