On a different note, the Henley Passport Index recently revealed the global ranking of passports, showcasing the number of visa-free countries accessible to their holders. Nigerians now enjoy visa-free access to approximately 45 countries, as reported by the index.
As per the latest rankings, Nigeria holds the 95th position out of 104 countries with powerful passports. In comparison, other African nations like Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Lesotho, Morocco, Benin Republic, and Namibia secured higher positions at 76th, 83rd, 67th, 65th, 71st, 79th, and 65th, respectively.
Nigerian passport holders can travel to various destinations without a visa, including countries such as Barbados, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Chad, Comoro Islands, Cook Islands, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, and Haiti.
Additional countries on the list include Iran, Kenya, Kiribati, Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Niger, Niue, Palau Islands, Rwanda, Samoa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, St. Kitts and Nevis, The Gambia, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
